The old quarter surrounding the Palace of the Dukes and Estates of Burgundy has retained much of its character. As you stroll through its streets, many pedestrianised, you will come across noble freestone mansions as well as numerous half-timbered houses dating from the 15C and 16C. What remains of the dukes' palace has been integrated into the Classical-style buildings of the Palace of the Estates of Burgundy.
