Beschrijving

Pure lines, harmonious proportions and delicate blue and white decor make this Baroque theatre a decorative masterpiece. You will admire the complex wooden mechanism designed by Donato Stopani. In 1791, the architect and landscape designer Louis-Jean Desprez added the ballroom. The theatre enjoyed its heyday under the reign of Gustav III, a patron of the arts who founded the Royal Academy of Music and Royal Opera in 1773.
