Merrion Square is a garden square and gem of Georgian Dublin, depicted by delicate imposts crowning the elegant doorways of the flawlessly proportioned red brick houses. But that is not all! In the spring and summer, the garden becomes a riot of flowers and shrubs, planted in English cottage garden style. The west side is adorned with the lawns of Leinster House and the National Gallery, while the south side is graced by the Greek façade of St Stephen's Church (1821).
