Beschrijving
Although this fishing port on Dugi Otok island is now devoted to tourism, it still retains a tranquil air. Except on August 15, when Sali celebrates the donkey, a small herd of which still inhabits the nature park of Telašćica. It is then the scene of donkey races, drinking, singing and dancing, to the sound of bagpipes. In summer, boat trips leave Sali for the nearby Kornati islands and there is a path that winds around the island to the lighthouse of Veli Rat.
