Located just south of the Missouri border, Eureka Springs was long revered by native Indians for the rejuvenating waters that flow from its 42 springs. A famed health resort in the 1890s, Eureka Springs now offers antique shops and crafts galleries (along Spring St.) as well as the splendidly preserved turn-of-the-century buildings that line the steep, winding streets of the downtown Eureka Springs Historic District.
