Beschrijving

The church houses an exceptional collection of works of art. The carved giltwood main altar was commissioned by Abbess Louise de Bourbon-Lavedan in 1621 for the abbey church. Note the strained yet peaceful features of the 15C wooden crucifix and the expressive Crowning with Thorns (late 16C), both in a side chapel on the left.
