Three miles southwest of Glen Rose, Fossil Rim Wildlife Center is a 2,700-acre safari park set amid rimrock buttes. A 9.5mi roadway leads through herds of African antelope, giraffes, rhinoceros, ostriches and many other species endangered in native ranges. Several sets of fossilized dinosaur tracks have been found in the limestone beds of Dinosaur Valley State Park.
