Seat of the Styrian Diet from the 16C and sill that of the Landtag (regional parliament) today, the Landhaus is one of Graz's finest Renaissance palaces. The main façade, with its pretty, semi-circular arched windows, hides the distinctly Mediterranean allure of its three-storey arcaded courtyard, stairwells and loggias. The old well is crowned by a finely worked bronze dais. This refined, enchanting setting is a venue for concerts, theatre performances and other events.
