The south side houses a continuous line of varied façades, only interrupted by a few alleyways. The mercat cross with a drawing of the Haddington Goat is a 19C replica. Note, in particular, no 27 for its decorative chimney, no 31 for the cornerstones of the dormer windows, as well as nos 43 and 45, where a stair tower leads to three floors.
