This exceptional zoo has existed since 1907; its old trees, lakes and artificial rocks make a lovely setting for a peaceful stroll. Some 1,850 animals (350 species) from five continents live in the open air, and the zoo is proud of having successfully bred and raised many rare species, such as Asian elephants, here.
