Beschrijving

The castle was built for Queen Sophia, wife of King Oscar II, then given as a wedding present to their grandson, Gustav Adolph, the crown prince, and his young wife, Princess Margaret of Great Britain in 1905. Rhododendrons and azaleas embellish the gardens (map at the entrance). The rhododendron-lined path starts in the little valley situated at the foot of the castle and finishes near the water.
