Nathan Road, Kowloon's main shopping street, crosses Kowloon from Tsim Shat Tsui to Boundary Street. Restaurants rub shoulders with shops, every last inch of space is used, and the crowds strolling down the pavement hardly seem bothered by the traffic or the pollution. This thoroughfare is known as the Golden Mile, not only for its neon lights but also for its shop windows laden with jade, gold, jewellery, watches and high-tech goods.
