Only accessible by foot, the pristine landscapes of the Cirque de Mafate are the exclusive preserve of hikers. Its 180km of footpaths wend their way through small villages and hamlets and are still used today by local inhabitants. These tracks will reveal to intrepid travellers nature's treasures and surprises, such as the Plaine des Tamarins, Rivière des Galets and the Gouffre des Trois Roches, as well as more simple sights such as pastureland and animals.
