Beschrijving

The Golden Horn, a 7km estuary, forms a natural harbour sheltered from the wind. Beyond the new Galata Bridge, its banks used to be occupied by factories that have since been torn down and replaced with parks and museums. At the end of the estuary, the Eyüp district lies at the foot of the hill, which is taken up by its huge cemetery. Higher up is the famous Pierre Loti Café.
