Reached by the fastest elevator in Switzerland (111m in 25 seconds), this viewpoint, at 3,571 m altitude, offers a spectacular view of the immense Aletsch glacier that sits between the peaks. It is framed in particular by the Mönch (4,099m), the Fiescherhorn (4,049m), the Aletschhorn (4,193m) and the Jungfrau (4,158m). With very fresh air and easy to reach, the Sphinx still houses a research laboratory and astronomical observatory.
