Beschrijving
The ruins of this 18C barracks stand on a hillock emerging from the Spey Valley. It is one of four infantry barracks built after the 1715 rising to keep order and control over the new military road. Ruthven fell during the second Jacobite revolt in 1746 when the barracks burned down.
