The Kitanizawa mountain stream flows down the southern face of Mount Daisen through a thick beech forest. A way-marked trail leads you deep into the undergrowth where you will see the crystal-clear water running over weathered boulders covered in luminescent moss. This peaceful rural landscape, dotted with tiny waterfalls and bridges, has been the setting of many advertising commercials. A perfect place for bird-watching, hiking and snowshoe hiking in winter.
