The largest of Cambodia's sparsely inhabited islands only measures 20km/12mi by 6km/4mi. Its tropical jungle and white sandy beaches have become popular with adventurous minded tourists. For many years, it was impossible to stay on the island overnight, but this relative isolation isn't going to last much longer and some major projects for shopping malls and massive holiday resorts on the island are already afoot.
