Within the estate, the Domaine des Capucins, there is a 17C Capuchin monastery, complete with a large courtyard and chapel. This is the spot where the family of the famous French grocery retailer, Leclerc, whose career began in Landerneau, had a vast 1 600m2 hall built in 1964. Today, the former supermarket has been turned into a wonderful exhibition space dedicated to contemporary art. The programming is top-notch, and mediators are on hand to explain the works on display to visitors.
