The "Pagoda of the Immortals" occupies a huge cavern and is accessed via a flight of steps. The pyramids of fizzy drinks placed on the altars bear witness to the respect lent to the powerful divinities of the site. To the rear of a room dedicated to Quan Am, the Celestial goddess is worshipped, surrounded by a forest of incense sticks burning in blue and white holders. A tunnel leads to some natural windows which open onto the attractive countryside around Lang Son.
