Linked to its neighbour Nusa Lembongan by a suspension bridge (cyclists and pedestrians only), the smallest of the three islands comprising the Penida archipelago has only recently become a tourist destination. Its inhabitants are hugely friendly and will gladly point visitors in the right direction to reach a pretty inlet... At low tide, the rectilinear seaweed fields may be distinguished; the crop is grown in large floating frames.
