The Mangturm, a fortified 13C tower and former lighthouse, stands in the centre of the docks. Another lighthouse and a monument to the Lion of Bavaria (1856) command the port entrance. A flight of steps leads to the Roman fortification (Römerschanze), a viewpoint overlooking the Rhine and the Alpine setting of Lake Constance.
