This palace stands in the heart of an English-style park with flowerbeds and pruned bushes. It was inhabited by the Herbst family who, in memory of their daughter Anna Maria, founded the first children's hospital in Poland. The various rooms and their valuable contents reflect the tastes and lifestyle of the upper class. In the former carriage shed, the Old Painting Gallery is dedicated to Polish art of the 19C and 20C (Wyspiański, Mehoffer, Tetmajer and Malczewski).
