Dedicated by Pope Pascal II in 1107, this basilica, a major example of Lyon's Romanesque style, has been transformed on numerous occasions in its history. The bell-tower porch finished by a pyramid framed by some bizarre acroters has a distinctive shape. Inside there are some beautiful Romanesque capitals. The Chapelle Ste-Blandine is purported to have housed the remains of the martyrs of 177.
