This museum is housed in the residence of Valencia-born painter Joaquín Sorolla (1863-1923), the "painter of the light". The paintings are distributed around the space in three broad categories: landscapes, striking seascapes and beaches, and traditional portraits, which give an insight into Spain's costumes and festivals in the early 20C.
