A long avenue crosses verdant parkland before reaching this 18C property nestled in a deep valley. The estate remained in the hands of the same family from 1622 to 1985. As a result, the house has changed little, particularly since 1886. Within the large walled garden there is a flower-decked garden planted out in the 19C in the "mixed" style, an auricula theatre and an 18C greenhouse.
