The village of Coconut Grove, steeped in the charm of the tropics and swamped in lush vegetation, nestles on the shores of the Bay of Biscayne, some 4mi/6.4km south of Rickenbacker Causeway. It is popular both for its historic residential districts and lavish properties such as the Villa Vizcaya, as for its hip town centre: bars and shops in Coconut Grove Village, Saturday market, parties and festivals. The evenings and weekends are always lively and festive.
