Beschrijving
Built by the French to defend the strategic position of Mobile and its bay at the easternmost tip of French Louisiana against the British and Spanish, Fort Condé protected the town and its citizens for nearly 100 years from 1723-1820. A replica of the fort is home to a Visitor Center which distributes maps and leaflets. An interactive exhibition charts the history of the town.
