Beschrijving

This enchanting little museum is established in Pałac Dohnów, built between 1562 and 1571 and altered during the Baroque period. The right wing is devoted to the philosopher Johann Gottfried Herder (1744-1803). In addition to 18C portraits and 17C work by the Dutch School, the museum exhibits work by artist Hugo Landheer (1896-1963). Some rooms have been refurnished with Baroque, Second Empire, Art nouveau and Biedermeier pieces. Temporary contemporary art exhibitions.
