The façade of the Church of Santo Domingo de Oaxaca represents St. Hippolytus and St. Dominic, the founder, supporting a church onto which the Holy Spirit is descending in the form of a dove. The three female figures on the pediment embody faith, hope and charity. The interior presents a dazzling, almost dizzying vision. The vaulted entrance is covered with a gilded stucco genealogical tree decorated with polychrome paintings. The Rosary Chapel to the right of the nave echoes the entrance with its statue of the Virgin in the centre of many branches.
