Looking out over Oslo Fjord, the Akershus fortress overlooks the port, where a few old sailing boats and the occasional cruise ship are moored. Take time to admire the views from here: in the distance, wooded islands emerging from the water; and, to the right, the former Aker Brygge and Tjuvholmen naval shipyards, nowadays transformed into trendy districts teeming with cafés, restaurants, cinemas etc.
