The Villino Florio is a residence full of whimsy that was built by one of the most powerful families in Palermo in the 19C. A fine example of the Liberty style in Palermo, originally surrounded by a large park, it is the work of Ernesto Basile. Badly damaged by fire in 1962, the villa has been carefully restored and its decor and original wood panelling have been returned to their former splendour. The wrought-iron features on the roof can be admired from the terrace.
