This fern-filled valley links the Limousin farmland to the valleys of Périgord Blanc with a deep gorge offering lovely views. On your way through, make sure you stop at the Papeterie de Vaux paper mill, founded in 1861, the forge in Savignac-Lédrier, which closed down in 1975, and the mills in Le Pervendoux (17C) and Le Pont.
