Built on the island of Ugljan, renowned for its olive oil and facing Zadar, this 13C fortress, severely damaged during the war of independence, has been somewhat disfigured by the addition of a huge relay antenna. The site nonetheless commands stunning views over the rest of the island, Zadar, the mainland and Dugi Otok.
