Beschrijving
Running for some 7km in length and rising in places to a height of 30m, the ridge is in fact a moraine deposited here during the Ice Age. It lies between Lake Pihlajavesi and Lake Puruvesi, and in places is no wider than the old road running along its top. From the road there are fine views over the glittering lakes and pleasant forest. At one of the roadside viewpoints is a monument to poet Johan Ludvig Runeberg.
