Puycelsi fortress, perched on top of a rocky plateau, dominates the Vère Valley and Grésigne forest. Protected behind almost 800m/0.5mi of ramparts, the streets of this charming village, one of the most beautiful of France, are lined with 15C houses, small walled gardens and narrow passageways.
