The collection gives an overview of the history of Eastern European painting from the Romantics to the end of the 20C. Particularly noteworthy are the works of German Impressionist Lovis Corinth, Secession artists Otto Dix and Kokoschka, various Expressionists and the poignant bronzes of Käthe Kollwitz. Good temporary exhibitions.
