Before venturing onto Rosguill peninsula, stop in the village of Carrigart to stock up on provisions and take out money. Then take the Atlantic Drive northwest bound, going through the traditional tweed manufacturing villages of Rosapenna and Downings. The road rises slightly around the cape, to reach Tranarossan Bay, a sandy beach lined with high cliffs. Behind, the hills stretch as far as Melmore Head, the northeastern tip.
