This conservatoire housed in an old factory where ochre was once processed retraces the geological origins of this pigment and its various uses over the centuries, as well as the different stages of its manufacturing process (washing, drying, firing and grinding). The visit finishes with a temporary exhibition dedicated to the colour ochre. The conservatoire also organises industrial heritage visits, exhibitions, workshops and beginners' courses in the techniques involved in working with ochre.
