Beschrijving

This monument was built between 1877 and 1883 to commemorate the re-establishment of the German Empire in 1871. At the foot of the statue of Germania sits a low relief representing Kaiser Wilhelm I, Bismarck, the German princes and the armies. From the monument, the view stretches over the vineyards to the upper reaches of the Palatinate.
