This small square leading to the old Calle Libreros is surrounded by monuments characteristic of the Salamancan Plateresque style. It is home to the university; the rectors' former residence is now the Unamuno Museum House, devoted to the philosopher and writer. In the centre is a bronze statue of Brother Luis de León.
