This 3-storey museum boasts one of the finest collections of Asian art in the US. Chinese art is the highlight of its holdings, but all the countries east of the Ural are featured. Beautiful Chinese utensils and ritual vases dating from over 1000 years BCE, a sitting Chinese Buddha (338 CE), magnificent Japanese painted screens, not to mention rooms devoted to Indian art, are just a few of its treasures.
