Golden Gate Bridge is the iconic symbol of San Francisco and its epic proportions, which seem to effortlessly span the Detroit that separates it from Marin Country, are best appreciated close up. The best views are from the foot of the cliffs, on the ocean side, or on Vista Point on the other side of the bridge; alternatively hop on one of the boat cruises that tour the bay. However, a walk across the bridge (take warm clothes and a windbreaker) commands the most spectacular views.
