Beschrijving
The construction of Colònia Güell, a Unesco World Heritage Site since 2005, started in the late 19C in Santa Coloma de Cervelló, at the initiative Eusebi Güell with the intention of creating a modern textile factory. The industrialist wanted to build an entire town for workers. Many architects took part in the project, including, in particular, Antoni Gaudí, to whom the church was entrusted.
