As you climb to 883m above sea-level, you will see cottages owned by the government. The majestic cedars covered in lichen in this beautiful park, in a tranquil site at the foot of the Pico Ruivo slopes, are reflected in the water of a small pond. Several paths have been laid out, such as the PR Joel, accessible to all. Other more technical paths lead to the Caldeirão Verde and Caldeirão do Inferno.
