Landscaped grounds surround a neo-Oriental palace built in the mid-19C by a wealthy Englishman. The park is planted with many species (cedars, bamboos, tree ferns), which bloom around waterfalls and pools. Inside, there is an Oriental feel. There is also a fascinating staircase embellished with stuccowork, a corridor that looks like something out of a fairy tale, and a rotunda-shaped music room, where concerts are organised. The very Western-looking kitchen is at odds with the rest of the palace.
