This house stands on Roman foundations, its present appearance dating back to the 18C. It is home to three exhibitions. The first is dedicated to the history of the Amber Route, while the second comprises a reconstruction of middle-class apartments from the 17C and 18C. The third, down in the splendid brick Gothic-vaulted basement, is the Roman Museum. Among other remains discovered in Sopron, this museum houses large statues of Jupiter, Minerva and Juno.
