Beschrijving

The basilica could hold its own against many a cathedral. From the Square Winston Churchill there is a view of the large and small transepts and the chevet. Inside, the 13C chancel is unusually wide. The organ case (1690-1703) was designed by Bérain. In the nave (34m high), note the 260m-long maze on the floor: worshippers went around its paths on their knees.
