More family friendly than Bondi, the seaside resort of Manly occupies an isthmus at the northern entrance to Sydney Harbour. Its particularity is that it has two seafronts: Manly Cove, more suited to swimming with children, and Manly Beach, where surfers catch the waves. The Corso, a pedestrian shopping street shaded by palm trees, links the two.
