The Renaissance main building of this 16C château is flanked by a large round tower and an elegant terrace overlooking the Vézère. The main courtyard is accessed via a fixed bridge and a defensive gatehouse. The chateau interior is furnished in period style (16C-17C), giving an insight into how its former inhabitants would once have lived. Outside, the lower garden was designed to be admired from above, and the terraced gardens are inspired by the "garden rooms" of the 17C.
